We invite you to our new Showroom in New York

We are excited to share that Fromental has opened a new showroom in collaboration with Collier Webb at the prestigious New York Design Center. Our 2,300-square-foot space, located in Midtown East, is a testament to our commitment to the design community and showcases our collections and brand aesthetic to the global design industry.

The showroom design is a compelling journey guided by soft curving walls, allowing both Fromental and Collier Webb to showcase their collections of handcrafted wallcoverings, lighting and furniture within curated room sets, as well as working studio space. The displays will change seasonally reflecting the creativity of both brands – a space which exudes artistry, craftsmanship, contemporary design, coupled with a serenity and boldness.

‘the expansion of the showroom demonstrates our growing business in the US and our commitment to the design community in New York. We are thrilled to expand our on-site offerings and services in New York with Collier Webb. The Design Center has been a wonderful partner thus far, so it was a natural step to invest further in our international presence alongside our New York team.’ Tim Butcher

The Design Center is a dynamic, powerful hub of ideas and creativity and an essential location for us to showcase our collections and brand aesthetic to the global design industry. The Center attracts international designers, architects, and discerning, affluent consumers— it’s the ultimate destination where the design industry can learn, engage and explore the very best design in the world.

The new space celebrates New York design throughout our most prominent installations. In the entrance of the showroom we've installed Fromental’s iconic velvet ‘Goldoni in Dawn Song’. This soft and warm wallcovering, hand-painted and hand-tooled velvet, gradates from a delicate blue to a soft apricot. Brushed with metallic paint and finished with silver embroidered French knots. It’s a remarkable demonstration of our craftsmanship and use of new techniques. The glorious light of dawn, with the last of the night’s stars still just visible makes for a striking design.

Raw is intended to give the viewer a sense of immersion. Representing the concept of pure, unrestrained creativity and thought, the limbo of the mind and unchanneled reason. The variety of brushstroke combinations and contrasting tones give volume and form to the space, resulting in a stunning visual tour de force. In this space we have used ’Ether’, a light and feminine colourway comprised of dusky pink and soft gold on a white silk.

Paille in Ornette colourway offers visitors a moment of tranquillity, drawing from a unique palette combining soft greens, gentle blues, warm browns and highlights in iridescent platinum. Hand-painted vertical strokes are built up and hand embroidered details further accentuate the design, creating a gradated effect; this forms the shadows and highlights that are integral to the simplistic beauty of this design.

"You walk around this corner and suddenly you get this huge burst of vibrant shades and shapes, which completely change the atmosphere around you," explains Tim Butcher, “Every time I walk into a room with that piece, it’s got this funky hothouse feeling. It’s rooted in a classical aesthetic, but amped up with the colours and the style to create something bold, vivid and fun.”

For a bold, dramatic and maximal statement, ‘Bruyère’ blends the abstract and figurative in its rich, multi-dimensional detail. A tonal colourway, ‘Mauveine’ is a festival of pale purples, with the warmth of the iridescent gold in the grass detail lending a subtle warmth. Bruyère is a wallcovering entirely hand-painted on silk using a colour blocking technique to mimic the beautiful constraints of french mid-century tapestry design. It offers a luxuriously abundant scene for a style-defining interior.

We invite you to visit us and explore our collections. Whether you seek inspiration or materials for your next project, our esteemed team is here to assist you.
