Design Layouts

You can apply any of the colour and background schemes to any of these five basic ‘bird and flower’ layouts. The designs incorporate similar elements and vary principally in the depth and density of design.

	MILLEFLEURS ‘A thousand flowers’, the delicacy and intensity is homage to the original spirit of Chinoiserie. Perspective is created by a background of bamboo, overlaid with minutely detailed flora and fauna, hanging baskets and ornamental jars.
	FLORIBUNDA A luxuriant garden in full bloom, this sumptuously detailed design demands attention as the major feature of the room. A classic, full Chinoiserie.
	PARADISO With bamboo at the heart of the composition, Paradiso is a sharp and more contemporary design. The modernity brings monochromatic colourways to life and is a perfect balance for the exquisite craftsmanship of embroidery.
	NONSUCH Perfectly balanced in form and depth of detail, this layout incorporates all the classic elements of Chinoiserie and is appropriate to any of the modern or traditional colourways and finishes.
	SYLVANER The most pared down of our collection, elegant and understated. Most suitable as a backdrop in a room, rather than a dominant feature.
